JoVE (Journal of Visualised Experiments) constitutes a database of visual content (video-articles / playlists / Quizzes) for research and educational applications, effectively supporting teaching and research.

Access to JoVe is achieved through the IP addresses of the NKUA, either from the Institution's premises, or via VPN or Proxy Server, or even by creating a personal account on JoVe, necessarily using your institutional email (see instructions).

Specifically, our subscription includes access to the packages Biological Sciences & JoVE Business

  • For the JoVE Business package, coverage is complete and includes access to all Business content.
  • For the Biological Sciences package, access concerns the following modules/fields from the corresponding Education and Research collections:
    • Education (Biological Sciences package): Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Statistics, Advanced Biology, Basic Biology,,Information Literacy

    • Research (Biological Sciences package): Biochemistry, Biology, Developmental Biology, Genetics, Neuroscience, Biological Techniques, Biology, Microbiology

For the remaining subjects/fields, provide access only to any material that has been designated "Open Access".
